About
Hi, I am a postdoc at the Institute for Astrophysics at the University of Zurich in the group of Robert Feldmann, researching Deep Learning applications related to cosmological structure formation and galaxy formation. My interests orbit around generative models, neural fields, galaxies and the cosmic web.
Experience
Physicist by training and self-taught ML practitioner. I did a masters degree in Astrophysics and my PhD in the field of Data Science. I am proficient in Python and Cython, LaTeX, C++ and bash and my favourite environments for coding include PyTorch, Lightning and TensorFlow.
Projects
Below are some of my scientific contributions (that might be relevant) for my research field. I am the author of the EMBER (EMulating Baryonic EnRichment) framework, which is publically available. EMBER is like Michelangelo with the only difference that it likes to paint cosmic gas instead of Adam pointing at god. Have a look if you like pretty pictures.
